Would you pay to use Twitter?

The prolonged deadline for the linkage came to an end on Monday, April 4, 2022, and caused disconnected subscribers to troop to the nearest National Identification Management Commission’s (NIMC) office to have their lines unbarred. However, many have been unable to link their SIMs as NIMC seems to be unable to verify NINs. According to Premium Times, over 7.5 million MTN subscribers are yet to get their NINs verified by the NIMC. This is where we began our discussion on today's edition of the Techpoint Africa Podcast. 1:03 - MTN yet to reactivate 7.5 million phone lines 5:01 - Proposed tarrif increase by Nigerian telcos 11:22 - YouTube Go is shutting down 19:50 - Elon Musk's plans for Twitter (would you pay to use?) 'Twas NFT weekend!

In the words of Bolu Abiodun, it was definitely an NFT weekend. From the coffin guys to Baba Onilu, the non-fungible token market was on a spree. We — well, mostly Bolu — talked about how a “stale” meme was sold for over a million dollars and why we should probably dig up and mint some of our grandparents’ pictures.
